Being from Trivandrum, heat is nothing new to me. But let me tell you, the heat in Hyderabad is another story. It would have been much more comfortable if we (Me and Spoorthy, my teammate), were to get up early and go to office by 8:30. Then we could have beat the rush hour traffic, which is even though better than Bangalore, is still pretty horrible, which when compounded with the searing heat of midmorning sun makes one hell of a hot furnace. Today, I had to go to office, and being Saturday I made the mistake of thinking that I would be better off going around 11 and coming back after lunch. Now, this turned out to be a very bad decision and I spent half the day waiting in the sun at traffic intersections and blocks, trying to blow out the flames bursting out of me due to spontaneous human combustion.
That's half the story. The reason why I was forced to leave my cozy little room and still cozier little bed was that me and Spoo made a very inconsequential little mistakes that we usually tend to make quite often, which in turn happens to wipe out what ever consequential work that we (including many unsuspecting teammates) had done over last few weeks. Anyway I went there and found out that there is infact no way to recover a dropped table from a database unless you had backed it up before. So now I've got to go back on Monday and hope there is a way to undo the damage what I've done or face the consequences.. :D
